Scope of the Inspection

It is important for you to understand the scope of the home inspection.  At House Call, the inspection we provide is visual in nature and is performed to the standards of the ASHI.  The report is the opinion of the inspector based on his experience and knowledge of construction practices and home operation.  The inspection is intended to be a comprehensive overview of the house and its systems and is not, nor should be considered, an exhaustive detailed itemization of all flaws.  Defects of a cosmetic nature are not included in the report, but will be pointed out if you are within earshot.  We can only tell you the condition of the house at the time it is inspected, not what might fail at some time in the future.  Warranties are available and can be purchased through real estate agents.  If you are interested, consider discussing this with them.
